Discount Bookworm

I love Bookworm online, as well as the deluxe version for PC and Mac, so I was very excited to try it on my DS, since I can take it anywhere. I am thrilled with it! Everything you love about Bookworm is here, along with a few extra fun things.

Create words from the adjacent tiles to clear them from the board and earn points and books to put on shelves in your library. As you earn books and fill the shelves, you fill up and complete rooms in your library. Each room has a different theme and you get a little bonus when each is finished. As you complete more rooms, your library expands. You can visit the rooms on your map and see what you have accomplished!

My favorite new and challenging feature is collecting books and words. There are twenty books, each containing twelve words. When you create a word in one of the books, the book is unlocked and you can see the rest of the words needed to complete the book. For example, I unlocked the book "Insects" by making the word "ant". To complete the book I need to create "bee, wasp, roach, ladybug", etc. This is not as easy as it seems!! There are many fun collections to complete, and while I haven't finished a book yet, I imagine there will be a fun bonus when I do! Books are easily accessible from the main screen so you can check to see which books still needs words, and what words are needed.

My only teeny tiny complaint with this game is barely a blip on the radar, however I'm just a slight bit annoyed that when clearing tiles an extra tap is required after the word is finished. On the computer version, holding the mouse button while making words, and then just releasing it will clear the word. While holding the stylus to make the word on the DS, it has to be lifted and then tapped at the end of the word. Very picky, but it is what it is.

There is not a left-handed option on this game that I can find. That seems an obvious necessity, but for some reason was not included in this version.

Overall this game is fantastic, I am completely addicted!!Get more detail about Bookworm.

Cheapest The World Ends With You

This game is my favorite of all time!!! I love the unique style of music, art, and over all fighting style off it,heck,I'm still playing it after I've already finished the game! Now, some people complain about Neku's I hate the world attitude, and Even I found myself found myself a little annoyed with Neku's personality, but he GREW,I think his transformation was somewhat deep, and I truly enjoyed Neku seeing the world in a diffrent light at the ending. I've also read reviews with people complaining that the game is hard to get into, I admit, this game was a little hard to get into with a kind of akward opening, but once you achully get into it the fun is endless! Other reviews I've have people complaing that the fighting style is to hard, and at some points yeah it is a little difficult, but still, it takes time to get used to it! I wont deny that fact, but once you get used to it the second screen is easy to operate. Bottom line is that I absolutley loved this game and would reccomend it to anyone who enjoys anime and video games.^_^

Buying Rock Band Official Microphone (PS3, Wii, Xbox360)

I bought this microphone to further enhance my Rock Band experience. I was not disappointed. It kept in tune well (which was a problem I saw with other microphones) and was light enough to not be a burden of any kind. I don't mind that it is not wireless, since I wouldn't move around much anyways. Also, the fact that it doesn't have buttons didn't bother me, mainly because I don't mind using a controller to navigate. I do think it could have been packaged better, but I don't fault the microphone for it. Overall, a very simplistic, yet functional, design that works well.Get more detail about Rock Band Official Microphone (PS3, Wii, Xbox360).

Buy NCAA Basketball 10

NCAA Basketball 10 has a brand new presentation system that blows most other sports games out of the water. The game is either on ESPN or CBS, each with their specific commentators and presentation styles. The game looks beautiful, the floors and players are nicely detailed.

As far as gameplay, the new motion offenses are a lot of fun to control, probably the best improvement of the game. Like all sports games, penalties and such are relatively random, which you would expect. Overall, it is very user-friendly and play calling is easy to pick up.

The best part of the game is of course dynasty mode, where you control a program for up to 30 years. I would play it just for March Madness at the end of the year, which manages to add an extra dimension of excitement on the road to the Final Four.Get more detail about NCAA Basketball 10.

Order Rock Band 2 Standalone Drums

The drum set is very cool. My 7-year old loves it. He and his brother can play along, 1 on the guitar and 1 on the drums.
The only reason I didn't rate this a 5 is because the height adjustment is a bit dicey. I have a hard time making it stick in a raised position for myself!Get more detail about Rock Band 2 Standalone Drums.

Where To Buy Metroid Prime Trilogy Collector's Edition

I'm going to keep this short and sweet. The Metroid Prime Trilogy is one of the best video game series ever made. The Metroid Prime Trilogy Collector's Edition video game is probably THE best value for games you are going to get. You get Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption on one disc, a very cool metal game case, an art booklet, and a ton of in-game bonus features that were not accessible in the first three games. Selling $150 worth of games for $45 in a metal case with bonus booklets and music is an amazing deal.
If you like adventure, shooter, action games or are just a fan of Nintendo or Samus in general, you will like this game. In fact you'll love it. These games have won awards such as Game of the Year. If you need anymore motivation to buy these, there's something wrong with you. =PGet more detail about Metroid Prime Trilogy Collector's Edition.

Shop For Tekken 6 Limited Edition Wireless Fight Stick Bundle

I purchased this during the Todays deal Price.
What a DEAL!!!
I am very impressed with this set.
The box is huge and contains a Tekken six Hard cover Art Book! Seriously impressive!
The control pad is larger than I thought. It also comes with a receiver to plug in your Ps3 to make it wireless, NICE!
The control pad takes 2 double A batteries not included....
The box this comes in is also impressive. and well packed! I can't however say much good for Amazons packing.

Amazon packaging is never adequate. There is always just one small strip of sealed air fill in the box and only on one side. I think Amazon needs to seriously protect larger more expensive, heavy items with bubble wrap. The Box the merchandise came in was damaged from UPS's tossing. I'm sure if this item would have had even paper packaging to support the sides top and bottom this could have been avoided. I will not order expensive items from Amazon if the shipping department will not do the job they need to do. This seems to occur on all packages. Very disappointing.Get more detail about Tekken 6 Limited Edition Wireless Fight Stick Bundle.

Brutal Legend

I really enjoyed this games story the art direction and the soundtrack is the best I've heard in a video game. The gameplay on the other hand can get annoying. The reasons I think its annoying is that when I first started playing the game I thought it was a button masher, a little while in you find out it turns into a hybrid of several genres that didn't pan out that well. The real time strategy elements at best are clunky and at there worst are irritating. The driving part is my favorite the reason why is that I could listen to the awesome soundtrack. The story can be quite humorous, but it kind of loses its funny factor near the end. When it comes to the voice acting the character of Eddy Riggs seems to keep Jack Black's goofiness in check the part Tim Curry plays is great but he's barely in the game. A good chunk of the metal gods lends there voices to it aswell.

I wish I could give this game 5 stars but like I stated earlier the gameplay mechanics just hold it back. I finished the game in 15 hours and haven't played it since. I got a few games that I still want to beat. So bottom line is this game at sixty dollars its a rent but at thirty dollars its worth the purchase. After all this I still think its a good game but after playing it once you may not play it again except for the music.

Imagine: Fashion Designer Top Quality

At first, the game seems kind of confusing and hard to understand, but then once you understand it, it gets really fun! That is until you get stuck on a task, which doesn't happen that often. Grand Theft Auto IV Get it now!

Revised version of IMMT 115, HP7

Unlike most professional reviews, I don't feel this game deserves the perfect, or near perfect scores it received across the board. The gameplay is repetitive, the graphics are above average at best, and certain gameplay functions are broken. I'll give this game an A for effort and a C+ in its content, execution, and fun factor.

While not up to the same extinction level media hype that Modern Warfare 2 received, the release of GTA IV was definitely the video game event of the year when released (I myself took four vacation days off from work to play it). Really the only reason it received such high scores is because of the fact that it was the next GTA game, and the first one of this console generation. Naturally, that means an upgrade in graphics. And while the graphical jump from San Andreas to GTA IV is obviously gigantic with this new generation, compared to other games released during (and even before) this time, the graphics are just not all that great. It's just a combination of greys and browns, and everything looks oversaturated. Also, the character models are about on part with other games released during this time, nothing too spectacular, although this is understandable, given the nature of a wide open game like this.

As far as the explorable world goes, I'll say that the level designers did a great job. Part of what gives this game the feeling of grandeur is its very real sense of scope. This is the most realistic depiction of New York City in a game, and that's no small feat. What would've been more interesting though is if they could've had more variety in the types of locations, and maybe different terrain, etc. Gameplay-wise, it becomes very boring driving around the city, or driving to your next mission destination because it all more or less looks the same- it's just building after building after building, with streets and sidewalks. This is a step down from its predecessor, San Andreas, where one moment you're deep in the hood driving past gangbangers, then next you're up in the hills of the suburbs, and next you could be in a wide open countryside going 80mph towards a mountain, a mountain you can climb no less. This design decision made it so that I'm constantly choosing to take a taxi to all of my destinations and use the "skip" option to instantly arrive at my destination.

I really wish they could've implemented more indoor locations to explore. Sure you've got your occasional bar, bowling alley, and strip club, but that's it. The hundreds of other buildings in the game might as well be a flat 2D backdrop, similar to the background in Hill Valley in Back to the Future part 1. It feels shallow and empty with all these buildings you can drive past, with 99% of them being unexplorable. Going back to my previous paragraph about the lack of varied terrain, one may argue against me by saying "exactly how much variety can you give New York City, it's an urban location for god sake's." Well that's true, but had it not been for the lack unexplorable indoor locations, I wouldn't have a complaint about the repetitiveness of the graphics. In other words, my whole argument is saying that due to the lack of terrain, it's pointless to drive since all you see are the same streets and buildings; BUT, if some of these locations were more explorable, and able to be interacted with, then I wouldn't have a problem driving around, since at any given time, I might see a location that looks fun to play around in, and that would be my incentive to stop the car, and go explore the inside of that building.

Speaking more about the gameplay, the missions were repetitive. I can't complain too much, because fundamentally speaking, GTA is basically one big fetch mission: go to point A, drive to point B, murder person C, and extract item D. There's a culmination of reasons why I originally quit this game probably 20 hours into it, but the two major factors were: 1) the driving physics, and 2) the star system. These two things to me broke the gameplay, and made it feel like a task, instead of fun, number two primarily. First though, the driving; put simply, you CANNOT drive properly. You can't turn without completely slowing down, and everything about maneuvering the vehicle feels very unresponsive and very unintuitive. Just maybe, this is what all the physics and math equations work out to when implementing a 100% realistic engine, but you know what, it makes the game less fun, for the sake of realism. The second problem with driving is the fact that due to the camera being too close to the ground, whenever you're going up even a very slight incline, you can't see anything coming towards you. You HAVE to keep your right thumb on the right analog stick and manually keep the camera positioned in a slightly upward tilted angle, otherwise you're going to crash head first into cars or just trees on the sidewalk (trees being the one thing that's forbidden to run over in this game....). There's no excuse for this. What, did the beta-testers and quality assurance not DRIVE in the game so completely missed this flagrantly broken aspect of the game?

The second problem with the gameplay as I stated earlier was the star system. It's too easy to get stars, and there are way too many cops. In previous GTA games you could decide to be a little mischievous and maybe randomly fight people on the street, or even kill them. In this GTA, cops are seemingly everywhere, and anything you do will have them on your tail, even if you've previously made sure to check for patrolling cops on foot or in cars. I'm not speaking of full blown murdering sprees, OBVIOUSLY that's gonna get you stars, and I welcome that. I'm specifically just referring to randomly killing one harmless dude on the street, or just stabbing him or fist fighting him. These are the little things that made the game fun previously; little side distractions and diversions to break up the monotony of the missions. But now with the inclusion of invisible cops that pop out as soon as you commit a crime, out of the most impossible places, it becomes a CHORE to quickly hop in a car and elude their search radius. You're far better off simply not committing the crime in the first place, and just play the game straight. This right here ultimately killed the game to me. It was no longer GTA since I could no longer commit minor crimes for fun without having to immediately flee the scene.

Random points:

**I hate when a game makes a downgrade from its previous version, because it's "too hard" to implement these previous features into the new game. Why can't I swim underwater anymore? Why can't I purchase property anymore? How about a larger variety of clothing to buy? If any game needed the option for masks, it's this game. Niko Bellic is one ugly, unattractive mofo. I'm not gonna get into it here, but Metal Gear did the same thing with these unfortunate downgrades. Think of some of the gameplay functions and extra things you could do (and easter eggs) that were in Sons of Liberty, that completely got scrapped from parts 3 and 4. Just think about it.

**The walking is sooo weird in this game. The way you sort of swivel when you turn, feels like you're weighed down by some giant magnet. And I thought Resident Evil 5's walking/turning mechanics were stiff.

**The graphics on the strippers look very bad. When you go in the back for a private lap dance, the VIP booth you're walking into might as well be a time portal back to 2001, to the time of PS2 graphics.

Xbox 360 Live 3 Month Gold Card Right now

So I bought this card because my account is about to expire. Not must to review only that XBOX should make multiplayer free, considering most of the time people are chosen to host games. Rarely are there games with dedicated servers, and if they are, you have to pay a subscription fee.

Not to mention the prices they charge for virtual merchandise, that alone should be enough to pay for the xbox live service they provide and make a profit.

But If you're like me and all your friends are on XBOX live, playing XBOX games, then you don't have a choice in the matter. You have to renew each year.

Never automatically renew with the XBOX 360. You can always find one of these cards at retail locations or online for less then $50 which is what the XBOX 360 automatically charges each year. You just have to keep an eye out for them. Got mine for $40 @ Amazon w/free shipping.Get more detail about Xbox 360 Live 3 Month Gold Card.

Lowest Price Bakugan Battle Brawlers

Luckily I rented this title from Gamefly and didn't buy it. My son is really into Bakugan so I know how the rules of the card/toy game go. This game has a big departure from the standard rules. Your Bakugan's G-Power really doesn't come into play much because victory is determined on how quickly and accurately you can use the stylus. The G-Power will give you an edge but you can't win a battle without doing the "mini-game" with the stylus (rubbing it back and forth quickly, tapping icons, or following an icon around a track). This eliminates some of the strategy from this game that is present in the card/toy game. Still... I found it mildly addictive but I can see that I'd get tired of it quickly. Kids who are fans of the TV show will probably love it because it has their favorite characters and their Bakugan. However, kids who play the card game will probably be dissatisfied because of the way the game departs from the rules they know.Get more detail about Bakugan Battle Brawlers.

Low Price Jumpstart Pet Rescue

I would like to start off by saying, no I don't usually review things. I just don't have the time. I felt so strongly about warning other people, that I was prompted to write this.

My 4 year old son was upset when 70% of the game time was spent "LOADING". No, he doesn't have ADD. Most 4 year olds would forget this game was loading and walk away. He had such a bad experience playing this, he hasn't asked to play it beyond the first time. I explored it myself so I could show him what was fun. It was a huge disappointment.
Just because letters are used in a game doesn't make it educational. Here is an example of Jump Start's idea of educational. For the letter A, you can use 4 things that start with the letter A in a virtual sticker book. Kids can mindlessly place 4 stickers that have nothing to do with anything. I have actually purchased computer games for my older daughter from Jump Start in the past. The games were good. This was not. If you waste your money on this, you will be upset with yourself and sad for your child. Also, I seriously question the legitimacy of the positive reviews. A better use of your money may be to purchase an actual sticker book.

If you are looking for a good Wii game for a toddler, my son and I do have fun when we play Wii Resort and Wii Fit together.Get more detail about Jumpstart Pet Rescue.

Discount DJ Hero Renegade Edition Featuring Jay-Z and Eminem

The game overall is awesome, I think. There are a lot of great mixes that I wish I could just listen to in my car, but there are a few that I don't care for too much either. The pros outweigh the cons by far however. The game takes a little getting used to before you actually get good and are able to enjoy the game for what it is. There is a really good tutorial you do prior to actual game play that will get you on the right track.

Is the game worth the $90-$100 you would pay for just the game with turntable controller? Yes, it definitely is.

Is the game worth $199 with the addition of a music CD, a carrying case/table, and an a black and gold turntable? No, I think not. The case/table is where I am assuming most of your money is going to as the music CD is nothing fancy whatsoever. I enjoy both JayZ and Eminem, but this CD was nothing extra or worthwhile to me. The table and case are nice, don't get me wrong, but not really worth the amount of extra money it goes for; maybe $135-$150 would be a little more realistic.

If you are contemplating buying the game and can do without the case/table, then stick with the regular edition; you are not missing out on much. If you MUST have the case/table for whatever personal preferences, then you have no choice but to spend this amount, unless you put together your own (which is possible, but not convenient).Get more detail about DJ Hero Renegade Edition Featuring Jay-Z and Eminem.

Cheapest House of the Dead: Overkill

I have to say that I was a bit skeptical about this game. Being an on-rails shooter I thought it may be really basic and not hold my attention long. I was really wrong.

First, this game is NOT for children. It holds Guinness World Record title of most swearing in a video game with 189 counts of the "F" word. Not that it's bad, in fact it is so over-the-top it not only grabbed my attention, but pimp-slapped it and shook it around. Fans of Tarantino and Grindhouse style films will really appreciate the atmosphere. Everything from the artstyle to the music is designed to be fun, violent, in your face, but it never takes itself too seriously.

While the main story is a bit short, about 6 hours total, beating it once unlocks the "Director's Cut" which adds some addition "scenes" to each chapter of the game. This increases the difficulty a bit and also helps to make your second play through still feel fresh.

If possible, be sure to play with the official "Hand Cannon." Wielding this hefty, although plastic, imitation magnum revolver really adds to the overall feeling that you're out to blow some big holes through hoards of the undead.

Better yet, get two of them. Play with a friend or unlock dual-wield mode so you can literally use two Wii-motes (or Hand Cannons) at the same time.

If you want a lighthearted, fun, violent experience, I highly recommend this.

I really enjoy this game. This is the first "shooting/hunting" that I have played and I think it's great. The fact that I just started with this type of game and enjoy it the way I do, is awesome. I have no other game to compare to this one, so my review is strictly for Deer Drive. The game is intense, make you feel like you are really out hunting. It really gets you pumped up as you go further into the game. As you get better, you will not want to put it down. You feel like you are really in the hunt. My best friend enjoys playing mini golf games, me not so much. We have purchased or rented several other golf games out there for the wii and have only been disappointed. The controls were either tricky or the game itself seemed like we were playing golf and not mini golf.
Well this one was perfect. The settings of the games were excellent, it felt like we were on a mini golf course, and each one was unique and very well crafted. The controls too felt like we were really golfing.
The cheap price tag on this game helped it out too. Out of all the golf games we have tried this one hands down offers the best bang for your buck.Get more detail about Carnival Games: MiniGolf.

NBA 2K10 Review

I've played NBA2K10 for about 2 weeks. Since I haven't played any prior version of the NBA2K series, nor have I played NBA Live recently, this is not a comparison. Just my impression of the game.

First, the graphics look very nice. The arenas, players, movements, etc, are all nicely done. Crossovers, players trying to get around picks, defensives stances, all seem fairly realistic to me.

My major complaints about the game are how the AI seems to try to 'balance' things. Quite often, the AI hits EVERY outside shot, even if there's a guy jumping in their face. Then my best players will miss wide open layups and wide open jumpers. This usually happens against teams that are inferior in every way. It just makes it feel unfair. Ally-ops are WAY too easy for both human and AI players. Other than ally-ops, I find it hard to 'lead' a player to the basket because as soon as you hit 'pass', they stop running even when the lane is wide open. I usually play with the "auto-coaching" turned on which also has its problems. Rather than just doing substitutions on a dead ball, it will call time outs every time subs are to be made. This usually results in running out of time outs WAY before it should so you never have them when you need them.

Overall its a pretty good game. When the AI isn't making its players god-like and the human controlled team suck unnecessarily, its actually quite enjoyable.Get more detail about NBA 2K10.

Borderlands Best Quality

I'm not a hard-core gamer, and mostly I play console. But I purchased this game on Steam after playing Left4Dead (zombie FPS), and was sorely disappointed.

First, the good news: The game itself is OK. Kind of fun to play, somewhere between RPG-lite and FPS - not much of a plot, but I wasn't looking for some great revelation about humanity. I was looking for an open FPS experience.

The bad news: It's over rather quickly, and there are some issues with getting 'stuck' -- I don't try to test out games to their limits, and twice I found myself wedged behind an elevator, unable to escape without restarting, just because I decided to jump onto the platform or I walked too far to the edge. But mostly it was enjoyable as a casual game.Beyond being helpless behind an elevator whilst my friends were battling away, we had issues with multiplayer gaming. As a previous reviewer noted, there is no option to just play with your friends. We ended up hosting our own games, and then we had issues because certain ports needed to be opened... which you wouldn't know until you searched for the problem on the internet. Again previously noted by a reviewer, the menus do not have any kind of intuitive control, so for the first few hours of gaming it took me much longer than it should have to navigate the menus.

The worst part, however, came at the end. After the game ended rather abruptly (It's over? Already?), I was eager to get my hands on additional material... only to find out you must download DRM software.

Did I mention I own Borderlands through Steam? Steam provides DRM, in that I can only play it ON Steam. Soooo... why would I want ADDITIONAL DRM software that I cannot control on my machine?

Forget it. Bottom line -- If I had it to do over I wouldn't purchase Borderlands. Get more detail about Borderlands.

I'm glad the makers of the game made this combo pack since all of my friends had purchased the Rock Band 2 combo pack. Beatles RB is an amazing game full of nostalgia and beauty. Not to mention how nice it is to know 95% of the songs as opposed to RB2 in which I only knew a handle full.

One of the functions I can't wait to use is the ability to use harmony with up to two extra mics. The last time I saw co-op singing was for Karaoke Revolution, and it's about time one of these games utilized back-up singers.

The only complaint I had was that the Kick Peddle broke in the first few weeks without much force, but was easily replaced. But, of course, this has nothing to do with the game itself, so keep that in mind.Get more detail about Wii The Beatles: Rock Band Special Value Edition.

DSi -18-In-1 Starter Kit - Pink Order Now

The case is a bit small - it only fits the DSI and does not have any slots/pockets for games. Not a problem if you only want to take one game (in the DSi) with you.

Also not terribly impressed with the charging base. The bright blue light stays on all the time, not just when the DSi is charging, and the DSi doesn't just slide onto the charger - it takes a little effort to line up the power plug.

Otherwise, we're pretty happy with the assortment of items in this kit. After buying it we saw a couple of other cases in kits like this that had slots for games - if we had seen the other style first, we would have bought them instead. Get more detail about DSi -18-In-1 Starter Kit - Pink.

Lowest Price Guitar Hero Smash Hits

You can only play certain songs when you play at a certain skill level. In Guitar Hero 5 you can play any song at any level it just adjusts for you. Letting you play only three notes. I also had a lot of trouble making a set list. I picked out 6 songs but the when I tried to hit the continue button it wouldn't work!!! I'm very frustrated.Get more detail about Guitar Hero Smash Hits.

Low Price NBA Live 10

This is the first time that I have felt compelled to review a video game. Unfortunately, I did not choose to review it because it blew my mind away. On the contrary, this game irritated me so much that I felt compelled to log on and review it. Before I start though, I should offer a little background. This is the first time I decided to play an NBA game. Knowing that there were only two games in town, I decided to jump on Amazon to read the reviews. After reading a bunch of reviews that said that NBA Live '10 has stepped up to the game, I decided to give it a try and ordered it. After I did, I decided that I might as well go ahead and order the competition too (NBA2K10). After comparing the two, about the only positive thing I can say about this game is that it has good graphics. The competition has this game licked in the game play department. Any reviews that say otherwise is a crock. I certainly don't regret buying this game though as I now know never to invest in the EA series in the future.Get more detail about NBA Live 10.

Save We Cheer 2

This game is simply amazing. The music you cheer to is high quality stuff and the addition of the workouts is nice, though the calorie counter is off by a wide margin. I read some professional reviews online that accused the controls of being inaccurate, but I have not encountered any problems. I imagine those reviewers just couldn't follow along to the rhythm, as other professional reviewers gave the game high marks and didn't mention any control problems. If you like rhythm games, or just cheerleading in general, then this one is for you. Thanks to the Wii controls, it is the best rhythm game that I have found. Get more detail about We Cheer 2.

Cheapest Shaun White Snowboarding Road Trip

The game looked very cool. My kids tinkered with it last Christmas day but haven't touched it since. "Fun" factor just wasn't there. I guess after you get over the "hey look I'm controlling it with my feet"... it just wasn't all that fun.Get more detail about Shaun White Snowboarding Road Trip.

Cheap Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

the visuals are stunning throughout the game's entirety. after the first few levels all of the fights are completely repetitive. there was a major glitch in one level the first time i went through it and because i didn't know about it, i spent about five hours trying to complete a simple mission. when i went through the second time, though, there was no problem. gameplay is very simple throughoutGet more detail about Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

Buying Smart Girls: Playhouse

I bought this for my 8 year old daughter because she played it, briefly, at her cousin's house and enjoyed it. After one car ride from OH to MI (4hr), she had exhausted all the matching and find-the-differences combinations (there are only like 5 or so sets of each) and was getting bored... by the end of the return trip, she was done with it for good. Should have just borrowed this one instead of buying it. Doesn't have long-lasting appeal for an 8 year old. Younger kids might enjoy the satisfaction of repeating the same puzzles over and over though, so it's probably still a good bet for a 4/5 year old.Get more detail about Smart Girls: Playhouse.

Purchase Lego: Battles

When I first purchased this game I was unsure if my seven year-old would enjoy it. Little did I know that it would become one of his favorite games. There are many different levels where players can build their lands up in preparation for different 'enemy' attackers. The purpose of each land is to find certain artifacts or items and then defeat the opposing characters. This is a strategy game for kids, and adults. This game will require some basic reading skills, but nothing too intimidating. My son is a huge fan of Lego's and this game really is a great buy for those Lego fans of all ages.
